Faulty DC Isolating Switch Notice

We wish to inform our Tasmanian and Victorian members about a faulty DC Isolating Switch currently under recall by the ACCC.

Primarily installed in Tasmania, the switch presents a potential fire hazard due to faulty contacts within the mechanism of the switch.

The item was distributed and installed via I Want Energy between 7 October 2011 and 1 March 2014, and bears the identifying part number HGN4-32DC. I Want Energy has provided the Department of Justice Tasmania with a full list of installations during that period and are organising inspections as needed.

It is unlikely that you would have purchased one of the faulty isolators, as most were installed by the supplier.
